NASA: Faster, Better, Cheaper
Home Up

Daniel Goldin, NASA Chief Administrator, has promised a "faster, better, cheaper" space agency for the United States.

Why did we have a "slower, worse, more expensive" space agency in the first place?

"Slower, worse, more expensive" is just standard government management. In the beginning, NASA was 100% government-managed. The result was that programs were slower, worse, more expensive. Now NASA is shifting to more commercial-minded management. As a result, they are getting faster, better, cheaper.

If we could commercialize the rest of what the government manages, it could also become faster, better, cheaper.

NASA is the demonstration that when things go from government management to commercial management they become faster, better, cheaper. If we could just get the government out of everything else, all aspects of our lives could also become faster, better, cheaper.

Freedom would increase, too.
