Choice for Men?

[This letter appeared in the January/February 1998 issue of the national Mensa Bulletin]

Joseph P. O'Neil lamented the very real lack of parental choice for men in his Oct. 1997 Mensa Bulletin letter. There is actually a growing political movement to create a male equivalent of Roe v. Wade. This movement, called "Choice for Men", seeks to allow a man to terminate his legal involvement in a pregnancy he caused. In essence, "Choice for Men" would allow a man who impregnates a woman to forfeit his rights and responsibilities to a fetus or baby he helped to conceive.

More information can be found at web site http://www.nas.com/c4m/c4m.html. I would be very curious to read what pro-choice Mensans think about "Choice for Men."
